@Gocciedimemoria Eleanor Collins CM (born Elnora Ruth Procter Edmonton, November 21, 1919 – Surrey, March 3, 2024 (aged 104) was a Canadian jazz singer, television host and civic leader. She was known as the First Lady of Canadian Jazz. At the age of Age 15, he won a talent contest in Edmonton. In 1938, he moved to Vancouver and began performing with the Swing Low Quartette. After a brief retirement from 1948 to 1952, he appeared at the Theater Under the Stars in Finian's Rainbow in 1952 and 1954 and Kiss Me, Kate in 1953, and in a staging of You Can't Take it With You. Canada Post honored her with a commemorative stamp on January 21, 2022.
